We are going to see the enormous cannons, which
could shoot halfway to Norway, parts of shut
down airplanes and the completely intact and
still fully furnished bunkers that the 3000-man
garrison lived in during the war. The actual
museum building contains a unique collection of
uniforms and war materials. Transport in own

Fish auction at Hanstholm Harbour *

If
you are a morning person, you have the chance to

Europe’s largest fishery harbour for edible

the early morning hours, the fish are taken to
the collection centre, where they are sorted
according to size and weight. Then, they are
transported to the auction. The auctioneer
dictates the events, and the fish buyers who
will pay the most for the catches gets to take
them home. The auction includes everything from
lobsters to sharks and from haddocks to
coalfish. You might want to drive by the
smokehouse Det Gamle Røgeri if you have
