You can buy amber, if you don’t find anything yourself. With nature guide.

Dear guests,

When you visit Hanstholm Camping, you will find a multitude of experiences within easy reach.

In addition to our own programme of activities, which is bristling with opportunities for the whole family, there are numerous exciting offers in the local area.

The area around Hanstholm is probably the most impressive in the whole of Denmark when it comes to relics from the Second World War. The Bunker Museum in Hanstholm is definitely worth a visit. Here you can see giant canons that had a range reaching half way to Norway, old bits of wreck from planes that were shot down, and you can see how bunkers were built.

Moreover, the Danish films: The Olsen Band in Jutland and Babette’s Feast were “shot” in the cinematic landscape in Vigsoe Bay. You can still go exploring inside the “Olsen Band bunkers”, most of which are partly covered by water. The thatched house that formed the setting for Gabriel Axel’s film version of Karen Blixen’s novel Babette's Feast is fully intact a few hundred metres from the coast.

The Hanstholm Centre contains a number of shops, as well as Centre Bowl, where you can go bowling and also eat well at a reasonable price.

If you are interested in more action-packed activities, maybe you should have a trip to the go-kart track. Ten minutes’ drive from Hanstholm Camping is Thy Go-Kart Track. International championships are held here several times a year, but the track is also open for guests to drive professional go-karts.

A few minutes’ drive from Hanstholm Camping you will find Vigsoe Bay’s Sub-tropical Water Park. Here there are several large pools, a spa pool, a baby pool and water slides. The water park is open every day, all year round, and once a week you can also come to the “night swimming” session with live music by the pools. If you stay at Hanstholm Camping during one of the mini-breaks mentioned, we will give you a free ticket to the water park (worth DKK 65.-) per person.

We warmly welcome you to an exciting, active stay at one of Denmark’s largest campsites.
